Web Developer

About the role

Emergent Method is looking for a full‑time Web Developer to join its Creative Services team. The role can be based in Baton Rouge, LA, with remote candidates welcome. You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver high‑quality websites and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain existing websites, including code updates, content changes, security patches, and plugin management.
• Build responsive websites and applications from scratch using semantic, version‑controlled code.
• Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand requirements and propose effective web solutions.
• Stay current with web development trends, principles, and emerging technologies.
• Contribute enthusiasm and ideas to expand the company’s web service offering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Communication, a reputable boot‑camp certification, or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience turning visual designs into functional websites and integrating them into a CMS.
• Strong eye for quality, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer‑service, and written and verbal communication skills.
