Vice President, Platform Engineering

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President of Platform Engineering to lead its Operations Automation Program. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks, platform services, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities that support large‑scale, hybrid infrastructure environments worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of automation engineers to execute Mastercard’s infrastructure automation strategy across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Provide technical leadership across data, network, communication, and computing platform technologies.
• Translate organizational vision into innovative, strategic changes for technology environments.
• Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, develop roadmaps, and deliver solutions to complex technical challenges.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in DevOps engineering and large‑scale platform automation.
• Proven leadership ability to guide senior technical teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for innovation.
