Vice President of Operations

About the role

The Vice President of Field Operations for the West Coast leads practice operations, drives sustainable growth, and ensures operational excellence across Specialty1 Partners' dental practices. This senior leader builds strategic relationships, mentors regional teams, and implements best‑practice processes to meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a quarterly practice visit plan and conduct bi‑weekly site visits.
• Build strong relationships with partner and associate doctors, communicating the company’s vision and addressing escalated issues.
• Oversee onboarding and off‑boarding of associates, including growth planning and transition support.
• Coordinate payroll issue resolution with HR and payroll teams.
• Mentor Regional Directors of Operations through regular 1:1 meetings and individual development plans.
• Realign and expand the RDO team to support organic and M&A growth while managing regional budgets.
• Conduct monthly operational reviews and prepare quarterly business reviews for senior leadership.
• Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, optimize scheduling, and ensure doctors meet contracted hours.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑site operations in a healthcare or specialty services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with physicians and senior stakeholders.
• Strong mentorship and team‑development capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets and driving EBITDA optimization.
