About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior leader to shape its enterprise learning agenda. The Vice President, Learning & Development – Skill Acceleration will design and execute a holistic strategy that equips employees with the capabilities needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead a multi‑year enterprise strategy for upskilling, reskilling and skill acceleration across the employee lifecycle, aligned with Mastercard’s business priorities.
• Build and govern an end‑to‑end skills development ecosystem that delivers integrated, persona‑centric learning experiences from onboarding through advanced career stages.
• Translate insights on AI, automation and emerging technologies into actionable learning strategies that prepare the workforce for future roles.
• Partner with senior business leaders to ensure learning initiatives drive measurable business performance, workforce agility and internal mobility.
• Lead a global team of learning professionals, fostering collaboration across a matrixed organization.

Required profile

• Proven senior learning strategist with a track record of delivering upskilling programs that generate measurable business outcomes.
• Strong strategic partner to business leaders, capable of influencing at the executive level.
• Deep passion for accelerating learning at scale and for shaping the future of work.
• Experience leading complex, global portfolios in a matrixed, multinational environment.
• Excellent communication and change‑management skills.
