Tax Specialist – Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Specialist to support a family office’s ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients. The role involves preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and providing strategic advice on estate, gift and partnership tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state and local income tax returns for UHNW individuals, trusts, estates and partnerships.
• Conduct in‑depth tax research and advise on estate, gift and partnership tax issues.
• Assist in developing tax planning strategies, including wealth transfer, charitable giving and succession planning.
• Manage compliance timelines and ensure accuracy of all filings.
• Support senior leadership in responding to IRS and state tax inquiries.
• Build and maintain client relationships as a trusted tax advisor.
• Collaborate with legal, investment and financial planning teams to deliver integrated services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting or a family‑office environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of UHNW individual tax, trusts and estates, and partnership taxation.
• Excellent analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
