About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Student Support Specialist to join the College of Humanities Arts, Social Sciences & Education. This professional staff position supports student retention and wellbeing across undergraduate and graduate programs.
Key responsibilities
- Report directly to the Associate Dean of Student Services.
- Collaborate with Deans and faculty to develop and implement retention strategies.
- Provide students with resources and guidance on emotional and mental health concerns.
- Assist students facing financial stress, academic challenges, or personal difficulties.
- Maintain documentation and follow state, federal, and institutional policies.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, conferred before the start date.
- Eligibility for social work licensure.
- Commitment to a five‑year externally funded appointment, with potential for extension.
