Sr. Specialist, Auction & Inventory Management (Remote)

About the role

The Senior Specialist in Auction & Inventory Management will oversee all aspects of auction processes and inventory control for Santander’s collateral assets. Working remotely across the Midwest, you will ensure accurate audits, optimal pricing, and timely sales of repossessed vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Audit inbound units, existing inventory, and sold units to mitigate collateral loss.
• Generate daily reports on eligible inventory and communicate sales information to auction vendors.
• Inspect repossessed vehicles, determine necessary repairs, and ensure work meets Santander standards.
• Set auction timing and pricing based on market conditions.
• Conduct compliance audits for each sale and report discrepancies to Asset Remarketing Management.
• Assist with title resolutions, including Auto Check, stolen flags, and mileage issues.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve delays, fee requests, repair approvals, and transport issues.
• Address loan accounting concerns with accounts receivable and auction partners.
• Review daily inventory and exception reports and facilitate post‑sale arbitrations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in auction and inventory management within a financial services environment.
• Strong analytical skills for auditing and pricing decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external auction partners.
• Detail‑oriented approach to compliance and documentation.
