Social Media and Design Specialist

About the role

The Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media and Design Specialist to join its Communications team. This full‑time position focuses on storytelling across social platforms and producing engaging visual content for digital and print audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies that highlight AAES research, mission, and impact.
• Create, edit, and schedule content for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Design high‑quality graphics for social media posts, website features, newsletters, and printed materials.
• Collaborate with researchers, extension staff, and leadership to gather story ideas and ensure accurate messaging.
• Monitor analytics, track engagement metrics, and adjust tactics to improve reach.

Required profile

• Passion for social media storytelling and ability to translate complex research into clear, compelling narratives.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Creative eye for visual design and ability to produce graphics that align with brand guidelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work across multiple university units.
