About the role
We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team at the 3500 Westlake property in Austin, Texas. The role involves performing technical and mechanical tasks to ensure the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
- Carry out preventative maintenance across the property to reduce future breakdowns.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors and contractors, and procuring necessary supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Collaborate with the property management team to prioritize tasks and uphold the overall appearance and functionality of the community.
Required profile
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar technical role.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, inspection reports and maintenance manuals.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for interacting with residents and vendors.
- Willingness to work onsite and respond to urgent issues as needed.
