Senior Principal Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Mastercard’s Business Operations (BizOps) team is looking for a Senior Principal Site Reliability Engineer to lead the Datawarehouse program. This senior technical leader will drive platform modernization, resiliency and scalability while partnering with global product, security, risk and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, technical and people leadership for the Data Delivery and Analytics program.
• Lead on‑premise and cloud data engineering teams in St. Louis and coordinate with global counterparts.
• Design, build and maintain high‑availability, low‑latency financial platforms with rigorous operational discipline.
• Ensure production‑readiness by implementing system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self‑healing and deployment automation.
• Review run‑state, deliver feedback to development partners and continuously improve the customer experience.
• Champion DevOps transformation, automation and standards across development, quality, release and product organizations.

Required profile

• Strong techno‑functional background with deep expertise in data and platform systems.
• Proven track record building reliable, secure financial platforms at scale.
• Hands‑on technical depth combined with executive‑level leadership and people‑management skills.
• Experience driving DevOps change, automation and cross‑functional collaboration.
