About the role

The Senior Occupational Safety Coordinator will lead safety initiatives within the Biological Safety Department at UAMS. This position ensures a safe working environment for staff, students, and visitors by overseeing occupational safety programs and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and inspections related to occupational safety and biological hazards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on safety best practices.
• Maintain accurate safety records and incident reports.
• Collaborate with university departments to ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience conducting safety investigations and inspections.
• Familiarity with occupational safety standards in a healthcare or research setting.
