Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

About the role

Pilot.com is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead its revenue accounting function in a fast‑growing Series C SaaS environment. You will own the end‑to‑end revenue lifecycle, ensuring accurate, timely and ASC 606‑compliant revenue recognition while building scalable processes and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Billing, AR, FP&A, IT and Accounting to structure transactions before contract execution.
• Identify and eliminate revenue leakage, billing errors and manual data gaps across the Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) flow.
• Define and enforce ownership and controls at each O2C stage, from contract review to month‑end close.
• Serve as the accounting SME for Salesforce (SFDC) and Zuora, establishing configurations, validation rules and approval workflows.
• Maintain accurate revenue metrics, reporting, and reconciliations between SFDC, Zuora and the ERP system.
• Own accounting requirements for Zuora billing, revenue recognition, deferred revenue and SSP analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of revenue accounting experience in a SaaS or subscription‑based business.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and practical experience implementing its controls.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, RevOps, Legal and IT.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and risk mitigation.
