Senior Indirect Procurement Analyst

About the role

Chipotle is seeking a Senior Indirect Procurement Analyst to lead the Utilities and Waste Management categories, overseeing roughly $250M of spend. This hybrid position blends strategic sourcing with day‑to‑day execution, partnering with Facilities, Finance, Operations, and Sustainability teams to drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and sustainability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies based on market intelligence, spend analysis, and business priorities.
• Lead competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs) and negotiate new and renewal supplier agreements.
• Identify cost‑reduction, risk‑mitigation, and sustainability opportunities across the portfolio.
• Monitor energy market trends, commodity indices, and regulatory developments affecting category economics.
• Support internal stakeholders in supplier relationship management, including quarterly business reviews and performance discussions.
• Act as the primary procurement contact for suppliers, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare QBR materials, scorecards, and performance data for senior stakeholders.
• Manage the contract lifecycle from drafting to execution in collaboration with Legal.
• Build and maintain spend dashboards and category reporting.
• Conduct should‑cost modelling and benchmarking where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably within utilities, energy, or waste management.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with spend analysis and market research.
• Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with facilities, finance, operations, and sustainability teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
