About the role
Alcon is seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist to support its Fort Worth manufacturing site. The role will implement, coordinate and continuously improve HSE programs, strengthening compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are documented and closed.
- Analyze safety trends, develop prevention strategies and drive risk‑reduction initiatives.
- Deliver HSE training for associates, contractors and leaders, maintaining accurate training records.
- Support new‑hire onboarding with HSE‑focused orientation.
- Maintain weekly and monthly HSE metrics, dashboards and required reports.
- Prepare materials for HSE governance meetings, committees and leadership updates.
- Conduct formal risk assessments (P‑SIF, JSA, HIRA) and verify implementation of controls.
- Own assigned HSE programs, perform inspections and lead continuous‑improvement activities.
- Chair the Manufacturing North safety committee and support leadership walkthroughs.
- Participate in internal and external audits, tracking and closing audit actions.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Quality and other functions to embed HSE requirements into daily operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 10 years, associate + 6 years, etc.).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant HSE experience.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work onsite in Fort Worth, TX, Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM CST.
- Willingness to travel up to 10 %.
- No relocation assistance or sponsorship available.
