Senior Fullstack Platform Engineer (Backend Focus)

About the role

Salt AI is building a governed execution platform for AI that meets the strict requirements of regulated industries. We need a Senior Fullstack Platform Engineer who will shape the platform’s backend and full‑stack experience, delivering reliable, auditable, and permission‑aware services that customers can trust.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance backend services using Python and Django.
• Develop and maintain APIs, data contracts, and event pipelines that power the frontend.
• Build and operate cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters for scalable workflow execution.
• Create React UI components that surface workflow status, permissions, and observability data to end users.
• Ensure platform reliability, observability, and security across the entire stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Deep understanding of Python, Django, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building and operating Kubernetes‑based services.
• Ability to work across the full stack, from infrastructure to user‑facing UI.
• Passion for high‑quality code and product craftsmanship.
