Senior Estimator

About the role

In this position you will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates from the conceptual stage through to the final contract. You will also lead and train the estimating team while supporting pre‑construction standards and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and train estimating personnel.
• Produce detailed cost estimates at progressive design stages.
• Develop scope of work clarifications and identify risk items.
• Assist with pre‑construction resource management, processes, standards and tools.
• Participate in estimate review meetings and cost‑saving exercises.
• Help create bid packages, construction budgets and support procurement and buy‑out activities.
• Collaborate with pre‑construction leadership, designers, clients and operations teams.
• Track market trends, project construction costs and support turnover meetings.
• Contribute to pre‑construction software development and maintenance.
• Travel as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or 15 years relevant construction experience.
• 5+ years of estimating experience (preferred) with Design‑Build and CMAR delivery methods.
• Strong subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Ability to forecast design and material costs at conceptual stages.
• Experience with self‑perform projects.

Required skills

• Revit and 3D modeling.
• Estimating software – Beck Destini Estimator (preferred).
