Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join a dynamic engineering firm. In this full‑time, hybrid position you will provide financial leadership, maintain accurate records, and deliver insights that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Streamline accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management.
• Oversee junior accounting staff.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using accounting software and databases.
