School Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

BAYADA Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work directly with students on the Big Island. In this school‑based position you will apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them build functional skills and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individualized behavior therapy in the classroom according to the established service plan.
• Collect and document behavior data, progress notes, and intervention outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate ABA strategies into daily routines.
• Provide training and assistance to students to acquire and maintain targeted skills.
• Support students in developing interpersonal skills and personal independence.

Required profile

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it (paid by BAYADA).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100, or successful completion of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (assistance available).
• Experience with children with developmental or intellectual disabilities is a plus but not required.
