Rug Designer – Trend-Driven Home Décor

About the role

EnVogue, a leader in trend‑driven home décor, is seeking a creative Rug Designer to shape its floor‑covering collections. You will combine large‑scale composition skills with deep knowledge of weaving and tufting to deliver tactile, market‑ready products that define modern homes.

Key responsibilities

• Create original rug designs, border treatments, and large‑scale compositions.
• Develop trend forecasts, color stories, and palettes for floor coverings.
• Build detailed tech packs for tufting, weaving, and knotting to maintain design integrity.
• Collaborate with global vendors to resolve technical and material challenges.
• Work with leadership to balance creativity with SKU targets and brand objectives.
• Organize and maintain development samples both physically and digitally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Fashion, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in rug design, floor coverings, or related home textiles.
• Strong understanding of color theory, yarn blending, and material selection such as wool, PET, or jute.
• Technical knowledge of rug construction, weaving processes, and manufacturing limitations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop for CAD, mappings, and pattern repeats.
