About the role
The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture seeks a Research Field Technician to support horticulture and plant pathology programs. Working under Program Technicians, you will assist with field and greenhouse operations that advance specialty‑crop research.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare research sites, plant specialty crops, and manage irrigation and nutrient applications.
- Harvest crops and maintain greenhouse-grown varieties.
- Perform routine laboratory procedures in the plant pathology lab.
- Assist in the management of resources and research projects related to horticulture and plant pathology.
Required profile
- Willingness to work outdoors and in greenhouse environments.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Attention to detail for both field and laboratory tasks.
Required skills
- Crop planting and site preparation.
- Irrigation management.
- Nutrient management for specialty crops.
