About the role

The Department of Veterans Affairs – Central Texas Health Care System in Temple, Texas is seeking a qualified Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. The position involves delivering high‑quality direct patient care to veterans across a network of facilities in Central Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and education to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with VA policies.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Required profile

• Graduate of an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Proficiency in basic written and spoken English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Eligibility to obtain a state license if educated abroad, with appropriate credential evaluation.
• Ability to work in an onsite, patient‑focused environment.
