Registered Nurse – Patient Aligned Care Team – Outpatient

About the role

The mission is to honor and care for U.S. veterans and their families by delivering compassionate whole‑health services. As a Registered Nurse on the Patient Aligned Care Team, you will work in an outpatient setting to provide high‑quality nursing care to veterans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to veterans in an outpatient setting as a member of the Patient Aligned Care Team.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement whole‑health services.
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with VA policies.

Required profile

• Proficiency in written and spoken English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program, or equivalent foreign nursing education with recognized equivalency evaluation.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• For candidates in a master’s‑level bridge program, a temporary appointment may be granted pending licensure.
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) candidates may receive a 120‑day temporary appointment while pursuing licensure.
