About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join its Campus Operations HVAC and Controls team. This full‑time, onsite position supports the university’s extensive medical and research facilities by ensuring all refrigeration and cooling systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration equipment across campus facilities.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot system failures, and respond to emergency service calls.
• Document work performed, maintain service logs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the HVAC team to coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies needed for system repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed work orders.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
