Public Information Intern – UN Creative Outreach

About the role
This six‑month, full‑time internship supports the UN Creative Community Outreach Initiative and the Messenger of Peace programme. Working in the Outreach Division of the Department of Global Communications, you will assist a team that partners with the global entertainment, sport and music sectors to amplify UN advocacy.
Key responsibilities
- Assist project teams with external partners by drafting background material, taking meeting notes and preparing briefing documents.
- Monitor and report on social‑media activity of Messengers of Peace and other influencers, compiling engagement metrics.
- Support planning and logistics for special events, filming projects and in‑person activities at UN Headquarters.
- Draft, format, edit and publish original content for the team’s websites.
- Prepare communications materials such as concept notes, talking points, presentations and press releases.
- Track daily applications for the Football for the Goals membership and help organise related convenings and events.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
