Product Testing Engineer

About the role

The Product Testing Engineer will join Bosch Charleston’s Product Engineering group in Charleston, SC. This position is aimed at current engineering students and offers hands‑on experience with diesel injector testing, durability assessments, and advanced analytical methods.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diesel injector testing and evaluate functionality for North American products.
• Operate and develop on‑site component test benches.
• Provide technical guidance and training to test technicians.
• Analyze sample returns and field failures of diesel Common Rail products.
• Investigate functional, design, and contamination issues using dimensional, surface, and material/chemical analytical equipment.
• Evaluate test data, field trends, and component assembly data with modern “Big Data” techniques.
• Prepare detailed technical reports communicating root‑cause analyses.
