Procurement Counselor – APEX Accelerator

About the role

The Arkansas APEX Accelerator is looking for an experienced professional to provide technical assistance, counseling, and training to businesses pursuing government contracting opportunities. The Procurement Counselor will act as a resource for both large and small enterprises, including newly‑started firms, helping them identify potential contracts and navigate the procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance and counseling to businesses seeking government contracts.
• Conduct training sessions on procurement best practices.
• Identify and communicate potential contractual opportunities.
• Assist clients in obtaining contracts and performing under contract requirements.
• Support innovation and compliance within the procurement lifecycle.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, government contracting, or related fields.
• Ability to work with a diverse range of businesses, from startups to established firms.
• Strong communication and counseling capabilities.
• Familiarity with the Arkansas business environment and university research/extension settings.
