Print Designer

About the role

Sweet Apparel is seeking a creative Print Designer to support its Kids, Juniors, and Missy sportswear lines. You will work in the Art Department, turning trend research into original prints for dresses, tops, bottoms, and swimwear.

Key responsibilities

• Create original print designs for Missy, Juniors, and Kids apparel, including dresses, tops, bottoms, and swimwear.
• Develop hand‑drawn and painted artwork using traditional media or a Wacom tablet.
• Produce seamless repeats and engineered placement prints.
• Collaborate with the Product Assurance team, providing feedback on strike‑offs and artwork approvals.
• Develop commercially viable colorways aligned with seasonal palettes and market trends.
• Prepare production‑ready artwork, including file cleanup, color separation, and factory‑ready color pitching.
• Research emerging print, pattern, and color trends within the fashion market.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Surface Pattern Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Strong hand‑drawing and painting abilities.
• Experience working in the fashion industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Versatility to design across a wide range of aesthetics, such as watercolor florals, paisleys, ditsy prints, and conversational prints.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of colour, print layouts, and repeat construction.
