Principal Engineer – Wind Turbine Testing (Part‑Time)

About the role

This part‑time, fully remote position reports to the Director of Wind Engineering and focuses on wind turbine performance testing. The Principal Engineer will lead the development, validation and execution of PPT (Power Performance Testing) methods across North America and globally, with compensation commensurate with experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead North American and global PPT methods development, validation and execution.
• Manage A2LA accreditation renewals and IECRE assessments in collaboration with worldwide teams.
• Oversee Measnet application, qualification and inter‑office quality‑control initiatives.
• Review PPT reports, provide data analysis support and generate reporting as needed.
• Train international staff on PPT procedures and standards.
• Develop code for PPT data analysis tools and contribute to standards working groups such as IEC and Aresca.

Required skills

• Expertise in PPT (Power Performance Testing) methodology development.
• Experience with A2LA accreditation and IECRE assessment processes.
• Proficiency in Measnet application and qualification.
• Ability to develop code for data analysis tools.
