Primary Care Physician – Lake Charles, LA

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible physicians in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to join its primary care team in Lake Charles. The position offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive outpatient care within a supportive, integrated health system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality primary care to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting.
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record for documentation, order entry, and care coordination.
• Collaborate with specialist and ancillary services to ensure seamless patient management.
• Leverage LPN Care Coordinators, On‑Call support, remote messaging nurses, and outpatient care managers to reduce administrative burden and address social determinants of health.
• Participate in digital medicine initiatives for chronic disease management.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Open to newly trained physicians as well as those with clinical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Epic electronic health record system.
