Plant Controller – Finance Leadership in Dairy Manufacturing

About the role

The Plant Controller will enhance financial transparency and drive operational efficiency within Lactalis' manufacturing environment in the United States. You will provide critical financial insights on cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and support strategic decision‑making through robust analytics and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production and packaging operations.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual performance reports, including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, cost‑saving initiatives, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide costing support for new product commercialization and innovation projects.
• Lead variance analyses and ad‑hoc financial reporting aligned with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Analyze financial impact of productivity initiatives and develop action plans to improve operational results.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing finance or controlling, preferably within the food or dairy industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
