Part Time Teller – Customer Service & Cash Handling

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly and reliable Part‑Time Teller to join its Derry, NH branch. In this role you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking needs while ensuring accuracy and security.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times and provide high‑quality service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other cash transactions.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance at the end of each shift.
• Follow all bank policies, compliance and risk‑management procedures to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate products.
• Educate customers on digital self‑service tools.
• Assist with audits, custodial duties and other operational tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Support nearby branches when business needs require.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• At least 6 months customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible branch hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Effective listening and communication skills.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency.
• Basic math skills.
• Comfort with digital banking tools.
