Part-Time Faculty, Doctor of Business Administration (GuidedPath)

About the role

Capella University seeks experienced scholars to join its GuidedPath program as part‑time faculty for the Doctor of Business Administration. You will deliver asynchronous 10‑week courses, mentor doctoral learners, and contribute to academic committees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality instruction using a pre‑designed curriculum.
• Assign and grade coursework on an ongoing basis, ensuring timely feedback within 48 hours (excluding weekends/holidays).
• Mentor doctoral students, participate in doctoral committees, and support research supervision.
• Travel within the United States to attend doctoral residencies.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enhance the learning experience.
• Maintain high academic standards, communicate evaluation criteria, and adhere to university policies.
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in a related field (DHA, DBA, PhD, DM preferred) or a doctoral degree combined with an MBA.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience (preferred) and professional experience in the discipline (2 years undergraduate, 3 years graduate).
• Research, scholarship, or demonstrated achievement in the discipline; experience overseeing doctoral research.
• Strong knowledge of academic evaluation and academic technology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to manage stressful situations professionally.
