About the role
Penn State's Department of Food Science seeks a part‑time adjunct instructor to lead the upcoming Chocolate Short Course (June 22‑26, 2026) at the University Park campus. The role involves teaching, hands‑on demonstrations, and sample preparation for participants.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare demonstration samples covering the full bean‑to‑bar process.
- Develop and deliver lectures on cocoa and chocolate processing.
- Conduct practical sessions and live demonstrations in the pilot plant.
- Ensure compliance with university safety and background‑check policies.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of cocoa and chocolate processing from raw bean to finished product.
- Experience teaching or presenting technical material to adult learners.
