Paramedic – Emergency Services (PRN)

About the role

This position supports the hospital by providing direct patient care under physician supervision. The role is PRN (as‑needed) and involves a range of emergency medical treatments and technical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within the scope of a Paramedic license, including wound treatment, medication administration, and IV fluid therapy.
• Perform clinical procedures such as blood draws, splint placement, Foley catheter insertion, glucometer and I‑STAT use, and vital‑sign monitoring.
• Execute preset protocols and standing orders, document all patient interactions, and ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations.
• Support physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administration by following established policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proficient computer skills for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and identify medical emergencies promptly.
