Office Representative – Medical Front Desk

About the role

The Office Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a busy medical practice. You will ensure a smooth and welcoming experience by managing check‑in and check‑out processes, capturing accurate patient information, and handling payment transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, instruct, and direct patients and visitors.
• Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance details in the system.
• Schedule appointments, perform check‑in and check‑out duties according to practice policies.
• Post charges and process over‑the‑counter payments.
• Maintain orderly filing and sorting of paperwork.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD‑10 and CPT coding, and third‑party payer procedures.
• Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with business office procedures.
• Clear, concise communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.
