Night Environmental Services Technician

About the role

The Environmental Services Tech II works the night shift to provide advanced custodial and sanitation services throughout Palestine Regional Medical Center. This position ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect floors, walls, patient care equipment, restrooms, and public areas.
• Prepare and use germicidal cleaning solutions following safety guidelines.
• Handle hazardous waste, soiled linen, and regulated medical waste in compliance with protocols.
• Restock and organize supplies, maintain supply closets, and assist with furniture moves and room setups.
• Collect, transport, and dispose of waste according to regulatory standards.
• Operate mechanical cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report equipment malfunctions and unsafe conditions to management.
• Follow safety protocols for chemicals, equipment, and biohazards.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of infection prevention practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically capable of extended standing, lifting, and repetitive motion.
