Medical Assistant – Vascular Surgery (Full‑time Days)

About the role
We are seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team at Memorial in Pembroke Pines. The role supports clinical and administrative functions to ensure a smooth patient experience and high‑quality care.
Key responsibilities
- Review patient charts and verify imaging availability before appointments.
- Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies, including ordering and cleaning.
- Manage patient communications, in‑basket messages, and phone calls.
- Assist physicians, PAs, NPs, and nurses with patient assessments, vital signs, history taking, and basic procedures such as phlebotomy and splint application.
- Set up procedural trays, activate MyChart accounts, and ensure Tele‑health connectivity for virtual visits.
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, registration, data entry, and scanning.
- Document patient care, monitor condition changes, provide discharge instructions, and follow‑up as needed.
Required profile
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.
- Strong communication and critical‑thinking skills.
Required skills
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Vital‑sign measurement and basic patient assessment.
- Use of electronic health record systems (MyChart/EHR).
- Telehealth troubleshooting and connectivity setup.
