Mechanical Engineer

About the role

DeFelsko Corporation, a leading manufacturer of inspection instruments, is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Engineer to drive product quality through precision measurement, data‑driven analysis and continuous improvement in its manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and program coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other inspection equipment.
• Perform statistical process control (SPC), measurement system analysis (MSA), calibration, first‑article inspection (FAI) and production part approval process (PPAP) activities.
• Analyze quality data and support root‑cause investigations.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• 35 years of manufacturing quality or related engineering experience.
• Strong analytical, technical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• CMM programming and precision measurement.
• Metrology experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of SPC, MSA, calibration, FAI and PPAP.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
