Maintenance Technician – University Station Student Living

About the role

Greystar is looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to support the University Station student‑living community. You will ensure that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs to keep building equipment operating efficiently.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Track inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, reorder as needed and return unused items to the maintenance store.
• Maintain common areas and grounds by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting tasks.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required training to comply with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and make‑ready turnover processes.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and basic procurement procedures.
• Commitment to following safety, risk‑management and code compliance standards.
