Maintenance Technician – Residential Property Management

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support three residential communities in Bozeman, MT. The role focuses on keeping apartments and common areas in excellent condition while delivering a high‑quality experience for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident service requests and complete repairs with minimal callbacks.
• Perform make‑ready work for vacant units, ensuring all repairs are finished and units are market‑ready.
• Troubleshoot and repair major and minor mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
• Conduct daily property walks to inspect exteriors, parking lots, and common areas, addressing maintenance needs as they arise.
• Maintain clear communication with the on‑site office team and update work‑order systems.
• Handle maintenance emergencies both during and after scheduled work hours.
• Assist other nearby properties when business needs require.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems repair (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools used in maintenance work.
