Maintenance Supervisor – Richmond, VA

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the technical and mechanical upkeep of its Richmond community. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and maintain standards for the cleanliness and appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with policies, quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in a residential community setting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations and code compliance.
• Ability to supervise vendors, contractors and internal maintenance staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with building maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures.
