Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd/3rd Shift (Tonawanda, NY)

About the role

3M is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Tonawanda plant’s maintenance team on the 2nd or 3rd shift. You will ensure equipment reliability, drive continuous improvement, and support safe, efficient production of 3M products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for all process equipment maintenance and overall site reliability.
• Oversee utilities operations, stockroom, building and grounds maintenance, and coordination of external contractors.
• Foster teamwork across plant engineering and other groups to reduce breakdowns, improve cycle time, and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and safety codes.
• Maintain a focus on energy conservation, waste reduction, and quality improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED (required); bachelor’s degree in a science discipline (preferred).
• Minimum three years of team‑lead or supervisory experience in any sector.
• Five or more years of maintenance experience (preferred).
• Experience in engineering, process, technology, or manufacturing environments.
• Project management experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, LEAN continuous‑improvement environment.
