Logistics Operations Manager – Retail & Perishables

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead transportation and distribution for retail and perishable product categories in Miami. The role oversees inbound logistics, vendor and 3PL relationships, and drives performance improvements across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Direct inbound transportation for packaged and temperature‑sensitive products, ensuring timely delivery into the retail network.
• Coordinate daily logistics performance, covering transportation, distribution, compliance, and inventory flow across multiple product groups.
• Manage operating budgets, track expenses, and produce business reports and forecasts to support data‑driven decisions.
• Build and maintain partnerships with carriers, vendors, and third‑party logistics providers to improve service levels and control costs.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements that reduce delays and increase overall efficiency.
• Monitor claims activity, support negotiations, and contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Analyze logistics metrics using Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools and present recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with supply‑chain leadership on special projects focused on optimization, service performance, and network effectiveness.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of logistics or supply‑chain operations experience, including leadership in a large national or global organization.
• Proven knowledge of transportation, distribution, third‑party logistics management, and vendor oversight in complex supply‑chain environments.
• Experience supporting retail supply chains, especially with inventory demand planning and movement of perishable goods.
