Liver Transplant Anesthesiologist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑eligible or board‑certified anesthesiologist to join the Division of Abdominal Transplant Anesthesia, providing expert care for liver, kidney and pancreas transplant patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care in accordance with Ochsner’s core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence.
• Perform anesthesia for liver, kidney, pancreas and combined transplant procedures, including liver‑kidney, pediatric, split‑liver and living‑donor cases.

Required profile

• Board eligible or board certified anesthesiologist with experience in liver, kidney and pancreas transplants (residency or fellowship).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to teaching and education.

Required skills

• Intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) certification or pursuit thereof.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume transplant program and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
