Lead Network Security Architect

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Network Security Architect to define, design, and evolve the enterprise network architecture. The role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and security across a global, hybrid environment while driving modern cloud networking and zero‑trust initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture blueprints, standards, reference patterns, and multi‑year roadmaps.
• Architect high‑performance, highly available, and secure network solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Identify and lead modernization, optimization, and resiliency improvements across the network and security landscape.
• Drive strategic initiatives such as performance engineering, zero‑trust adoption, automation, and infrastructure transformation.
• Define technology component standards spanning networking, security, cloud, and operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network architecture issues, escalating critical challenges as needed.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Information Security, Platform Engineering, Operations, and Application teams to ensure cohesive designs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural governance for new and existing implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in enterprise network security and large‑scale architecture.
• Proven ability to influence, mentor, and partner across engineering, security, and operations teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto network security solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Check Point security platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware networking technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Illumio micro‑segmentation.
