Junior Architectural Designer (0-3 yrs)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Architectural Designer to join a well‑established San Francisco architecture firm. The role offers the chance to work on commercial and residential projects, translating design concepts into construction documents across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings, elevations, sections, and construction details using ArchiCAD and other design tools.
• Collaborate with Project Architects and Managers to follow work plans and timelines.
• Participate in all project stages, from schematic design through construction administration.
• Coordinate with consultants and team members to maintain design integrity and quality.
• Create presentation materials such as renderings, models, and design drawings for client reviews.
• Research building codes, zoning regulations, materials, and sustainable design practices.
• Attend site visits and provide on‑site support during construction.
• Contribute creative design concepts and problem‑solving ideas to project challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• 0‑3 years of professional experience after graduation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Interest in materiality, craftsmanship, and integrating architecture with its environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD (preferred).
• Expertise in SketchUp.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
