Institutional Bus Driver (Seasonal)

About the role

The Institutional Bus Driver provides safe and reliable transportation for students, staff and visitors across the University of Arkansas Community College Rich Mountain campuses. Working on a seasonal, fixed‑term schedule, the driver operates a large passenger motor carrier to move groups to designated off‑site locations while complying with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a large passenger bus to transport passengers to specific destinations outside the general campus area.
• Follow state and federal transportation laws, agency policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and passenger counts.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Provide courteous service and assist passengers as needed.

Required profile

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of first‑aid procedures.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
