Infant Lead Teacher

About the role

Cadence Academy Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic Infant Lead Teacher to join its team in Smithfield, Rhode Island. You will lead a classroom of infants, fostering a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment that aligns with Cadence Education’s research‑based curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily activities that support infant development and meet curriculum standards.
• Document and share each child’s milestones and daily experiences with parents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and health‑compliant classroom.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
• Observe and respect each child’s interests, adapting activities as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; CDA or a degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• At least 18 years old and meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
• Previous experience as an infant or preschool lead teacher.
• Flexibility to work within standard business hours.

Required skills

• Classroom management abilities.
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction.
• Knowledge of infant developmental milestones.
