About the role
Canfor is seeking an organized and motivated HR Administrative Assistant to support its Camden, SC mill. You will act as a key point of contact for internal customers, ensuring smooth HR operations and a positive onboarding experience for new hires.
Key responsibilities
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Aid the recruitment process and collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Coordinate employee‑relations activities, including safety events.
- Provide general administrative assistance for the division.
- Participate in and support safety programs and systems.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of human resources and/or administrative experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with UKG/Kronos is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
