GTS Logistics Coordinator – Service Parts & Export Compliance

About the role

Alcon is seeking a GTS Logistics Coordinator to ensure flawless execution of service parts order fulfillment, logistics operations, export compliance, and customer support. The role supports global internal customers, international affiliates, field service teams, and cross‑functional partners to maintain high service levels across the end‑to‑end service supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage customer orders, service parts requests, and intercompany transfers using ERP and planning systems.
• Perform manual order entry, inbound bookings, and order confirmations with high accuracy and within required cycle times.
• Provide timely responses to customer inquiries on order status, availability, shipping schedules, and back‑orders.
• Coordinate international and domestic shipments, ensuring carrier, customs, and service‑level compliance.
• Track shipments, investigate exceptions, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and verify export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, COO statements, regulatory declarations) to meet U.S. EAR and destination‑country requirements.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation for controlled materials and support compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with planning, repair centers, ESC, and warehouse operations to resolve issues affecting fill‑rate performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., High School + 8 years, Associate + 4 years).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work onsite at Alcon’s Lake Forest Distribution Center.
• Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for order management.
• Experience preparing export documentation and handling customs compliance.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and carrier requirements.
